- Dr. George Friedman, Strategic Forecasting (Stratfor)
"A Geopolitical Overview"- George Friedman is the chairman and chief intelligence officer of Stratfor, a company he founded in 1996 that has pioneered the field of private intelligence. As chief intelligence officer, Dr. Friedman guides the strategic vision of the Stratfor intelligence group, helping shape the long-range forecasts as well as overseeing and tasking tactical intelligence operations. His analyses have been widely circulated and are read at the highest levels of governments and military worldwide.
- In his latest book, America’s Secret War, (published by Doubleday and released in October, 2004), Friedman analyzes the deeper forces driving the U.S.-Jihadist war. Friedman is the author of four other books on national security, warfare and intelligence, including The Future of War and The Intelligence Edge. Friedman has been featured on the cover of Barron's, in Time, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and New York Times Magazine. His weekly column is published in the San Francisco Chronicle and the New York Post.
- Prior to entering the private sector in 1996 Dr. Friedman was a professor of political science for almost 20 years, designed computerized war games, and consulted in the defense and intelligence communities. In 1994 he founded and was the Director of the Center for Geopolitical Studies at Louisiana State University, which engaged in integrated economic, political and military modeling and forecasting. Dr. Friedman graduated with a B.A. from the City College of the City University of New York and holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University.

- Mr. Richard Hokenson, Hokenson & Company
"Demographic Perspective on Global Economic Trends"- Richard F. Hokenson founded Hokenson & Company in May 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Hokenson was the Director of Demographic Research at Credit Suisse First Boston where he was responsible for analysis and forecasting of global demographic trends and their associated economic and investment implications. Before joining CSFB in the November 2000 merger, Mr. Hokenson was the Chief Economist at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where, since 1978, he pioneered the application of demographics to economic and financial market forecasting. Prior to DLJ, Mr. Hokenson served as senior economist at Merrill Lynch Economics from 1976 to 1977 and before that held the same position at Data Resources Inc. from 1973 to 1976.
- Mr. Hokenson is a member of the International Union of Social Science Professionals and a trustee of the Population Reference Bureau (PRB). Mr. Hokenson is a member of the Executive Committee of PRB and chairs the Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Society of Labor Economists, the Population Association of America and the American Economic Association. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics with honors from the University of California at Berkley and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. Mr. Hokenson did his Ph.D. research at New York University. Besides material published by DLJ and CSFB, his written works include “Demographic Trends and the Impact on Municipal Finance” published in the Municipal Finance Journal (Winter 1994) and “The Demographics of Global Investing” published in The Global Guide to Investing (Financial Times Press, September 1995).

- Mr. Stephen Moore, Free Enterprise Fund
"Keys to Prosperity"- Stephen Moore is president of the Free Enterprise Fund and a contributing editor of National Review. Prior to the Free Enterprise Fund, Moore co-founded and served as president of the Club for Growth. He also worked at the Cato Institute as director of fiscal policy studies, and he continues to serve as a Cato senior fellow. Moore is the author of Bullish on Bush: How George Bush’s Ownership Society Will Make America Stronger and co-author of It's Getting Better All the Time: 100 Greatest Trends of the Past 100 Years and the author of Government: America's #1 Growth Industry.
- Moore served as a senior economist at the Joint Economic Committee, under Chairman Dick Armey (Tex.). There, he advised Armey on budget, tax, and competitiveness issues. He also helped write the Armey flat tax proposal now before Congress. From 1983 through 1987, Moore served as the Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Budgetary Affairs at the Heritage Foundation. Moore has worked for two presidential commissions. In 1988, he was a special consultant to the National Economic Commission. In 1987, he was research director of President Reagan's Commission on Privatization.
- Stephen Moore also serves on the economic board of advisers for Time magazine, and is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Human Events, and Reader's Digest. Moore has appeared on many TV shows, including CNN's Inside Politics, Crossfire, and Moneyline, NBC's Nightly News, Fox Morning News, and The McLaughlin Group. The Associated Press recently wrote, "Moore has earned the wide respect of economists for his many forays into the entrails of taxation and budgetary matters." Stephen Moore is a graduate of the University of Illinois and holds an MA in Economics from George Mason University.

- Mr. Edward Siedle, Benchmark Financial Services
"Freakonomics: The Hidden Side of Managing Money and Pensions"- Based in Ocean Ridge, Florida, Benchmark was founded in 1999 by Edward Siedle. Mr. Siedle is a federal securities attorney, investment banker, brokerage entrepreneur and writer, who has been referred to by the Press as the, "Sam Spade of money management" and "the nation's most vocal critic of abuses in the money management industry." Groundbreaking investigations undertaken by Siedle have included mutual fund portfolio manager illegal personal trading schemes, unethical pension consultant kick-back arrangements, illegal “soft dollar” programs, as well as hedge fund and venture capital fraud.
- Mr. Siedle later graduated summa cum laude from Franklin Pierce College and received his Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School. He began his career in law with the SEC's Division of Investment Management, which regulates money managers and mutual funds. After several years of government service in Washington, D.C., Siedle served as Legal Counsel and Director of Compliance to one of the largest international money management firms. Since 1989, he has founded and managed firms offering specialized services to municipalities, pension funds and money managers.
- Siedle is nationally recognized as an authority on investment management and securities matters. He recently testified before the Senate Banking Committee regarding the mutual fund scandals. - Dr. Ray Stone, Stone & McCarthy Research Associates
"A View of The Global Economy: A U.S. Monetary Perspective"- Raymond Stone is co-founder and managing director of Stone & McCarthy Research Associates. Prior to forming SMRA Ray was the director of global fixed income and economic research at Merrill Lynch. Earlier at Merrill Ray served as the firm's Chief Financial Economist. Ray's first entry into the private sector was as an economist with the Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia. Ray started his career in the International Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Here he was involved in the analysis of international capital and trade flows and the preparation of materials used for briefings prior to FOMC meetings.
- Ray Stone is a past President of the Money Marketeers of NYU, the former forecasting chair of the Downtown Economist Club, and a former President of the Princeton Financial Markets Society. In 2004 Ray was inducted into the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's "Fed Challenge" Hall of Fame, he is first, and to-date only, non-Fed, non-academic economist to be inducted. Ray holds a PhD from Rutgers University and a BA from New York University.

- Lt. Gen. Paul Van Riper, U.S. Marines (Retired)
"How to be in Command and out of Control"- Lieutenant General Van Riper retired from the United States Marine Corps on 1 October 1997, after more than 41 years of commissioned and enlisted service. He currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia. He graduated in June 1963, from California State College, California, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School, the Navy College of Command and Staff, and the Army War College.
- Since retirement Lieutenant General Van Riper has served at various times as a member of several defense and service advisory boards and panels, including: the National Defense University Board of Visitors; the National Research Council’s Naval Studies Board; the Army Science Board; the Institute for Defense Analyses’ Joint Advanced Warfighting Program; and the National Reconnaissance Office’s Operational Support Office.
- He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. Lieutenant General Van Riper continues to participate in an array of defense and security related war games, seminars and conferences, both in the United States and overseas, and he lectures frequently at professional military education institutions. He also consults part time for the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency and a number of commercial firms on defense and operational matters. A student of military history, Lieutenant General Van Riper spends his leisure hours reading and visiting battlefields. In addition, he writes for pleasure and publication.

"Exchange-traded funds: New market paradigm or passing Fancy?"- Mr. Williams is a Vice President and the Director of Research for Sage Advisory Services. Mr. Williams has held a variety of institutional research and strategy positions. Prior to joining Sage, Mr. Williams worked as an investment strategist for UBS in New York, where he functioned as senior credit strategist, covering both the high yield and investment grade debt markets. Prior to UBS Mr. Williams served as the senior wealth management strategist and head of asset allocation policy at Mutual of New York, and before this as a research analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. Mr. Williams is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA institute. Mr. Williams holds a BA in Management from University of Colorado.
