Weekly Market Commentary 03/04/2016

Like a postal worker, neither global turbulence nor currency headwinds can deter the U.S. labor force from delivering impressive results. And what the job market delivers, the overall economy gains. To be sure, no one is claiming that the U.S. is on the verge of breaking out of its range-bound 2-2.5% growth rate seen since the recovery began nearly seven years ago. But the steadily improving pace of job growth should drive the final nail in the coffin of recession diehards. The economy’s growth engine may or may not shift into a higher gear in coming months, but it clearly is not in imminent danger of going into reverse.
