  • Regional Director, Southeast
  • Reports to: Principal, National Sales Director

    Job purpose: The focus of this role is to proactively represent the Sage investment solutions to financial advisors in the Southeast region. This will involve the day-to-day management of the defined territory while actively working with financial advisors across the wire house, regional, and independent broker dealer channels. Regional Director will live in the territory and be expected to meet travel and activity expectations. The territory consists of: FL, GA, SC and NC.
    Success in this role will be determined by the ability to grow territory assets through well thought out activities, competence of the Sage investment solutions, and the coordination of key Sage resources. This independent, results-oriented individual must demonstrate strong presentation skills, a sound working knowledge of financial products, and effective territory management.

    Position Requirements:
    • 5+ years of outside sales experience with an investment management firm in Southeast Region.
    • Develop and manage business relationships with financial advisors and centers of influence across all business channels
    • Apply a consultative sales approach across multiple financial advisory channels, using knowledge of the firm’s investment disciplines and process to develop and maximize advisor relationships
    • Must have strong group presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, the firm's value proposition, professional capabilities, and product/service strengths
    • Exhibit excellent time management skills to identify prospective clients, prepare presentations, and follow up on territory activity
    • Show a demonstrated knowledge of the capital markets and investment strategies, particularly in regard to fixed income, asset/liability management, and tactical asset allocation applications
    • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to prioritize and manage regional business development opportunities within the territory

    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors Degree in marketing, economics or finance.
    • Series 65/66
    • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience within the territory
    • Advanced understanding of fixed income and ETF asset management
    • Proficiency with CRM and related territory management tools

  • Municipal Credit Analyst
  • Job Description: Austin based investment firm, Sage Advisory Services, manages over $1.5 billion in Municipal separately managed strategies that include both taxable and tax-exempt securities. The Investment management team is looking for a municipal credit analyst that can provided security level analysis to further enhance the firm’s investment process.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with the Portfolio Management team by providing fundamental credit analysis on investment grade and high yield municipal credits in a variety of general obligation and revenue bond sectors for tax-exempt and taxable bond strategies
    • Prepare written credit reports with an internal rating and forward-looking trend analysis
    • Make security and sector positioning recommendations to the Investment Team based on fundamental credit and relative value analysis
    • Work closely with Trades on Municipal New Issues to determine the firm’s participation
    • On-going surveillance of existing holdings to determine if changes in security positioning are necessary
    • Periodically work on special projects and research publications
    • Provide support to marketing/distribution departments within Sage Advisory

    Required Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of the complexities of municipal finance including legal, political, economic and social (ESG) impact on the financial profile of municipal entities
    • Experienced municipal credit analyst with a strong aptitude for financial modeling and a passion for asset management
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail
    • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
    • Must have Bloomberg experience and prefer BQUANT skillset
    • Familiarity with one or all systems: Factset, Investortools, CreditScope, other Municipal credit providers, preferred
    • Creative problem solver with inquisitive mind
    • Team player with the ability to work independently

    Required Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree, Advanced degree such as MBA/MPA and/or CFA preferred
    • 2 to 5 years municipal credit experience with an asset manager, sell side firm, rating agency, municipal bond insurer, or bank
