Weekly Market Commentary 09/23/2016

The Federal Reserve took center stage this week, as all eyes were on the central bank’s two-day policy-setting meeting that concluded on Wednesday. Although the market consensus was that the FOMC would not pull the rate trigger at the meeting, the case for a rate hike was certainly nontrivial. Indeed, three voting members of the committee dissented from the majority, signaling a desire to immediately hike the federal funds rate.
