Weekly Market Commentary 10/07/2016

The recovery is now well into its seventh year, making it the fourth longest on record. Yet it is hard to recall another upturn that has gotten so little respect. To some extent, that lack of appreciation is justified by some historical comparisons. The overall growth rate has been the weakest of all postwar upturns and household incomes, adjusted for inflation, are still well below pre-recession levels.
