Weekly Market Commentary 10/14/2016
There were no dramatic economic developments to speak of this week, and certainly none that would overshadow the attention-getting news on the political front. That said, the old adage “no news is good news” would clearly align with the plans laid out by the Federal Reserve at its latest policy meeting. As noted in the minutes of that confab released this week, the majority of Fed officials felt that a rate increase would likely be put into effect before the year’s end assuming the economy performs according to expectations.
