2020 Annual ETF Stewardship Survey

July 9, 2020 — Each year, Sage surveys providers of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to determine how well they are performing their fiduciary duty on behalf of ETF investors. This year’s survey evaluated ETF Sponsors across five areas – proxy voting, company engagement, climate risk, stewardship resources, and disclosure practices. We received a 100% response rate from 14 ETF Sponsors who collectively represent nearly 90% of the U.S. ETF market, including the top four ETF Sponsors – BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, and Charles Schwab.
