Sage Advice Taxable Quarterly Market Review 2Q2019

Fixed income investors have enjoyed two strong quarters in row, with both rates and spreads moving in a positive direction and generating the best first-half performance in years. Given these returns and the fact that markets have now priced in a fairly aggressive easing path, gains are unlikely to keep pace in the third quarter. That said, we still see a friendly backdrop for core fixed income into the second half of 2019, as the Fed begins easing and the demand for yield and relative attractiveness of U.S. credit supports spreads.
