2021 Annual ETF Stewardship Survey

July 20, 2021 — Each year, Sage surveys providers of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to determine how well they are performing their fiduciary duty on behalf of ETF investors. This year’s survey evaluated ETF Sponsors across six areas – proxy voting; company engagement; climate initiatives; stewardship resources; disclosure practices; and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We received responses from 17 ETF Sponsors that have a combined $24 trillion in assets under management, including three of the top ETF Sponsors – BlackRock, State Street, and Charles Schwab.
